NYC Open Data
|
Introduction
The City of New York wants to collaborate with you on our Open Data Policies, Technical Standards, and Guidelines. On March 7, Local Law 11 of 2012 - currently the most progressive municipal open government legislation in the country - was enacted. Achieving the goals of the legislation demands significant collaboration. A major update to the Policies and Standards will be published on this site soon. For additional information, see our NYC DoITT Open Government/Innovation page.
Getting Started
This site is a wiki, intended for collaborative editing. Once our collaboration on these policies, standards, and guidelines is complete, we will shut down this temporary site. New to wikis? Watch an informative and entertaining video.
The content on this site is visible to everyone on the Internet without registering. However, to edit pages or leave comments, you must register for an account and be logged in.
It's important to note that the contributions you make may be changed or even undone by other collaborators, or even by us - particularly if it is offensive or off-topic. Take a look at our Terms of Use and our Content Standards for more details. If you want to practice editing, try the Sandbox. Have questions? You don't need to be logged in - ask for help!

More Information
This site, along with the NYC Open Data portal, is managed by the Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications Office of Strategic Technology Development. That's a long way of saying we're a bunch of people who are unlocking government data.
Although it probably will be available, we can't guarantee that this site is available at all times. We would like to express our thanks to the awesome grand prize winners of the 2011 NYC BigApps competition, and the Ontodia team for their technical support.
